Austin Scott’s talents have taken him all across the country. While he calls Michigan home, he has lived and performed in Nashville TN, Hebron KY and even New York City. Performing from a young age, Austin has developed a smooth and soulful sound that is true to classical country with a hint of contemporary influences. Playing a wide range of cover songs as well as original pieces, Austin plays to every kind of crowd, converting non-country listeners one show at a time. Often hearing the sentence “I never listen to country music but I really like what you do…!” Austin has proven himself a worthy up and coming music star not easily forgotten by those who hear him.
Graduating from piano lessons as a child to guitar and vocal lessons in high school, Austin Scott is classically trained and continues to add his own flare to the foundations of his learning. Shortly after beginning his guitar and vocal training, Austin began performing at church, coffee shops, and seeking out every open mic night he could. Performing for the entire student body in his high school gymnasium was a turning point in Austin’s career and he began to hone his skills as a songwriter. After a writing frenzy, he decided to record his first album. Spending an entire summers’ worth of paychecks, the album Austin Scott came to life and sold over 500 copies in the first year, as well as airtime on 89.3FM.
Armed with the local success of his album, Austin headed south to country music’s capitol of the world: Nashville, TN. Singing and playing in every locale that he could, audiences of Edgehill Studios Café, the Wild Horse Saloon, Printers Alley, The Blue Bird Café, Tootsies, The Gibson Guitar Café, and many others ate up what Austin Scott had to offer.
Now back in Michigan, Austin Scott continues on his musical journey, playing solo as well as with his band, the Urban Allstars. He has added onto the original album, which is now home to several award-winning originals. Taking the heart of Motown by storm, Austin Scott can be heard all over the Detroit area and throughout the rest of the state, singing his heart out and working on a second album.
